Scotty and the Starts are launching their newest CD at Charlotte Street Arts Centreat 2:00 pm this afternnon. Their third album is entitled “Time to Get Up” and they are releasing a new animation video for the first single “DON’T BULLY”.

Downtown Blues Band are celebrating their 25th Anniversary by having an afternoon jam at Dolan’s Pubstarting at 2:00 pm and featuring some of their former members. This is sure to be a memorable Saturday afternoon indeed!! and they will continue the fun with a full night of music at Dolan’s where the dance floor will surely be packed and good times will be had! Classic Albums Live Sticky Fingers (Rolling Stones) are rocking the Playhouse tonight at 7:30 pm! “Sticky Fingers is a bona fide rock and roll classic, containing and summing up everything good about guitar music at the start of the 1970s.”

Mark Segger Sextet are performing at Gallery Connexion tonight at 8:00 pm. “Hailing from Toronto, the sextet includes Jim Lewis on trumpet, Christopher Willes on tenor/clarinet, Heather Segger on trombone, Tania Gill on piano/melodica, Rob Clutton on bass, and Mark Segger on drums.” All ages are welcome!
Erin Costelo and Don Brownrigg will be at the Cedar Tree Cafe at 8:00 pm. Erin is touring through in support of her upcoming album We Can Get Over which “is a record of spirit, colour, and sass. Costelo’s evocative voice blends with lush string and horn arrangements and playful backup singers”  Don is a “Halifax-based Newfoundlander blends his haunting voice, morose melodies and pensive writing into non-assuming folk-pop music for a truly captivating product”
and last but not least Matt Mays will be at the Boyce Farmers Market at 8:30 pm and this is his last show on his Canadian tour in support of his latest album Coyote. This show is sure to be off the hook since Matt won’t have to be saving any energy in the reserves – he’ll be giving it all he’s got!
