This past week was full of big announcements…
Maritime Countryfest announced their new format and their 2013 lineup. The festival will be an all ages one-day event at Officer’s Square on Saturday, June 8th with country-rocker Travis Tritt headlining. Also on the bill are George Canyon, Jimmy Rankin, Kira Isabella, and local artists Tristan Horncastle and Steve Waylon. Check them out on facebook for more details.
Fredericton Tourism launched FROSTival this week and there is plenty of activities available for everyone to enjoy including live music (my favourite!), foodie events, outdoor adventure, educational programming and entertainment galore!
FROSTival runs between January 25 – February 17 and kicking it off is Shivering Songs Festival featuring Sarah Harmer, Rose Cousins, Jian Ghomeshi, Royal Wood, The Backyard Devils, Alan Jeffries and more!! The setting for this great winter festival is as wonderful as its perfomers. Wilmot United Church, Boyce Farmers Market, Beaverbrook Art Gallery, Cedar Tree Cafe, Wilser’s Room and The Capital will open their doors and offer us a warmth and music next Thursday to Sunday. Check out my posts on the Fredericton Tourism site here and here for more information. Don’t get left out in the cold – get your tickets now!
I’ll leave you with a taste of what you can expect next Saturday afternoon where Rose Cousins will be hosting the songwriters circle at 2:00 pm at the Wilmot Church
