Christina Martin – Thursday, August 3
Her fifth and most powerful album ‘It’ll Be Alright’ was released in 2015, winning the 2016 East Coast Music Award for Pop Recording of the Year. The Nova Scotia based artists’ advantage is her powerful and emphatic voice, catchy and intellectually pop-driven tunes, and an uncanny ability to connect with her audiences. Her songs oscillate between Eurythmic-styled pop, alt country and classic rock.
Suzie Vinnick – Wednesday, August 16 & Thursday, August 17
Suzie Vinnick is the owner of a gorgeous, powerful voice and performs with a sweet mixture of engaging candidness and unparrelled musicianship. She will be touring this summer in support of her new album and we are thrilled that she can stop in Fredericton for 2 nights with us!
Megan Bonnell – Thursday, August 31 (WILSER’s ROOM)
Daughter + Bon Iver = Megan Bonnell. Ultimately, though, Bonnell’s sound is more like that of fellow Canadian Joni Mitchell. The Toronto-based folk singer has a wide-ranging voice and her lyrics possess an intelligence and poetry. “Magnolia,” released in 2016, is the singer-songwriter’s sophomore album, after “Hunt and Chase” (2013). Megan has recently toured Canada with Great Lake Swimmers, toured the US with Justin Nozuka, and across Europe including BIME Live and the Barcelona Jazz Festival.
Chris Colepaugh – Thursday, September 7
Blending equal parts southern-inspired rock with a heavy dose of the blues, Chris Colepaugh has rightfully earned a reputation as a crowd-pleasing entertainer. The multiple award-winning artist has spent more than two decades actively touring Canada and the United States, supporting acts including Gov’t Mule, The North Mississippi All Stars and Big Sugar. His latest effort, RnR, pays homage to the stripped down rock and roll of years past, but with modern touches.
Mike Biggar – Thursday, October 26
Known for his intense, roiling live performance, signature soaring vocals and disarming on-stage humour, Mike Biggar’s songs and performance have earned him affection from listeners and accolades from industry. ‘Honest, Soulful Roots Music & With a Hint of Blues’
